Kimberly Slew-Ngarambe, MS  is a senior leader in health equity with over a decade of experience in research, policy development, and community engagement. She has been instrumental in reducing race-based health inequities both nationally and in Western New York.


As Director of Community-Based Scientific Research at the Buffalo Center for Health Equity, Kimberly led initiatives to eliminate health inequities through research and policy development. Kimberly also served as Director of Operations at the Center, where she aligned strategic plans with the organization’s mission, developed interventions addressing social determinants of health (SDOH), and secured grant funding. She also contributed to a PCORI project at the University at Buffalo School of Nursing, focusing on improving mental health outcomes in underserved communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.


Her earlier roles include Program Associate at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo and Assistant Program Director at BestSelf Behavioral Health. Kimberly’s work consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable populations.


Kimberly holds a B.A. in History from SUNY University at Buffalo and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Medaille University.
